Work preparation holds astonishingly great potential for noticeably increasing efficiency in production simply and quickly. At Schweissen & Schneiden in Essen, Messer Cutting Systems will impressively demonstrate how this can be achieved excellently and with little effort.
With the new version of OmniFab, the software suite for digitising production, you will in future be able to place cutting jobs on the machine from customer quotations directly from the preliminary calculation. Through automated component nesting, the step using the CAD/CAM nesting software is shortened or even skipped entirely. This increases the speed and significantly accelerates the process from quotation to the start of production of the order. For some use cases this is a revolutionary and new approach.
This is made possible by the direct connection of OmniFab to the Messer Cutting Systems Global Connect machine control. With the integration of the CAD/CAM software OmniWin, the nesting plans can now also be transferred to the machine in real time. Users save a significant amount of time, particularly through the automatic preselection of all parameters necessary for production.
In addition to the focus on work preparation, trade fair visitors found out at a total of four stations how they can gain further competitive advantages with digitalization solutions for production and easily enter Industry 4.0. OmniFab Job Management ensures maximum flexibility to organize jobs on the machine. The Global Connect machine control works with digital jobs and forwards relevant data from production to connected ERP systems via OmniFab. The OmniFab Machine Insight module generates comprehensive analyses and reports with its machine monitoring in real time. This quickly makes it clear whether production is running efficiently or whether downtimes can be optimized.
